Another local kid picks the friggin schmucks over the Beavs. They're kicking our ass IN STATE, too. Don't tell me "it's OK." The "process" SUCKS, at the moment. The Oregon Ducks and Willie Taggart have made in-state recruiting a priority in the class of 2018. That was made clear with the commitments of Lake Oswego offensive lineman Dawson Jaramillo and Tigard athlete Braden Lenzy, a pair of four-star pros... www.oregonlive.com/recruiting/index.ssf/2017/06/mj_cunningham_madison_3-star_l.html

In fairness, it's not like we weren't recruiting these kids. They all had offers from us. So "making it a priority" doesn't mean they'll pick you.
But I'm starting to get a sense that even if we do improve this year (say 7-5 and a bowl game), the upward mobility could come to a screeching halt if we don't pick it up in recruiting.

I don't know why anyone would be wringing hands over this guy when tomorrow is a very special day for all of us.

We are talking about a program that had a meteoric fall (using the term correctly!!) from grace. A disaster of a year, locker room drama, talk about being spoiled and losing their way.. all of that. and right now they have as good, if not better, class than at any point in their history, even post NC appearances and the peak of the Oregon Machine under Kelly. Right now they are as good or better, coming off a 4-8 year using a fairly unproven guy that put together a nice string of season at a tough place. OSU at least has an upward trajectory on its side... but we are getting spanked. And one splashy skill position recruit commit is not going to change anything about that. Sumthin's gotta give.

That's because they've gone the way of the SEC. Handshake payments, locker room fluffers, free dinner every night at Eugene's finest restaurants (if such a thing exists). they are even paying all the strippers in Springfield to get boob jobs.
We can't compete, it's like USC outrecruiting San Diego State. Just be happy they leave us any scraps at all, because if this was 1987 Oregon would have 243 recruits

Do you actually have some evidence, conjecture, or insider knowledge of this??? Or is this just sour grapes?
