Fridays game could have been different because of the bad call. Lange was getting some calls off the plate but hey weren't even close to what was going on in the game Saturday. After the benefit of the bad call Lange got enough energy from getting out of that situation that he cruised the rest of the way. It was a pivotal moment because runs would have been and ended up being critical. Crooked number there and the game might have been different. In my opinion it would have been different. We will never know.
Saturdays game the Beavers had no chance. First of all, Fehmel shouldn't have been the starter. LSU was probably itching to get another chance at Fehmel. The biggest problem was the strike zone for the Gilbert. There is no way any team could have hit any of those pitches. I have read where some people say the beavers had to make the adjustments. That's bull. There wasn't any way to put those called strikes in play much less get a bat on them. You can't tell me it went both ways either. Fehmel was coming a lot closer to the plate and was not getting the call. Fehmel problem was location. His misses were hittable and hit they were especially by the catcher on the homerun to right. Not sure why you would take a chance on throwing a fastball on a 3-1 count and first base empty on a hitter that good. Bury a pitch and hope he chases it. If not move on to the next guy and take your chances on that batter.
People say the Beavers only got couple of hits anyway. Sorry with a strike zone like that they weren't going to get many hits. Maybe if they threw a bat out there but I don't think that is legal.
That being said it isnt the fault of the LSU players for taking advantage of the horrible strike zone. Hell Gilbert wasn't stupid he kept throwing it out there until it switched but it never did.
Coulda woulda shoulda
Good luck LSU

Is this a reference to the honorable Corrine Brown's "Go Gatah" speech in the House of Representatives? I'm not sure which prison she's in right now... This has to be one of the funniest speeches ever given on the House floor. An American politician gave a speech and we needed subtitles to understand it... Go Gata

She was convicted but has not been sentenced yet. She has to be sentenced by September. Until then, she is still out. Her speech was a classic. "1-2-3-4-5. Then, the Gators don't take no jive. Go Gator!" Not only is it unintelligible, but most Gator fans still don't know what she was talking about.
