We just didn't experience any cold, down, or slumps this season. Individuals on the team did, but overall we were good enough that there were no team slumps.
We have now. It feels like a civil war football loss. Punch in the gut. Anything short of a championship this season is unmet expectations. Hit our slump at the worst time. It's baseball.
Even with the elimination, this is still arguably the top team in the country and one of the top ever. LSU took advantage of the zone today and beat the best. Good job. Sure the ump sucked, but had we adjusted as well as they, it could have been different. Either way, what a thrill this season has been to follow.
I've also appreciated most of the LSU posters here. Thanks for your contributions. Naturally with every good one, there are going to be the jack holes who really just are demonstrating they can't count to 11 unless their fly is down, and still only get to 10.5!
