You should never have to adjust to a pitch that is five inches outside the plate. NEVER

Same as yesterday, LSU has a strike zone that covers half of the opposite batters box. Not possible to hit, to make contact the batter would have to step out of his batters box just to reach it.

Between Kwan's triple yesterday and today's 36-inch wide strike zone for the LSU pitcher it looks like there is a SEC bias in the umpiring crew.

The home plate ump was indeed from the SEC.

What Strike Zone? The LSU 48" Zone or the OSU 3"?

Yes the strike zone was horrible and the LSU pitcher took advantage of it. The only thing the Beavers could have done was swing at the first pitch across the plate. After the second strike the Beavers were screwed. They couldn't hit any of the called strikes at the other batters box. They could only hope to foul it off. They definitely couldn't put it in play. I don't even think they could have fouled it off. LSU pitcher had better control. Fehmel had very little control Fehmel missed his spot too many times and the LSU hitters made him pay the price.

I really am not sure how any team could have hit against that type of strike zone. And our pitchers had to come right down the middle of the plate

Florida appears to be in control so the umping issues should be drawing to a close at least for this year.

As long as we are into conspiracy....Eduardo Perez is doing the "B" game which reminded me that he showed LSU how to read Fehmel's "tells" which explains Robertson's first pitch hit to lead off the game. And maybe more

I think that the zone hurt Oregon State today. It bailed out LSU's pitchers, who did not have the arms, and it killed Oregon State's hitters, who know where the strike zone is and laid off garbage that wound up being called strikes. It eliminated two Beaver advantages. The umpire basically made the game an eighth grade baseball game.
