Points to consider:
1. He's got 5 days rest after a full outing. I don't know if that's enough or not, but today is a do-or-die day. 2. He's already shown that he's got the Tigers' number, and they never did seem to get him figured out. Except for that one frustration hack that wound up in the left field bleachers. 3. It would save Rass for Mon/Tues, where we would desperately need him to perform. 4. If he gets in trouble, bring Rass in (along with the kitchen sink, if needed). 5. It's not a totally crazy idea.
Thoughts?

Thoughts? When facing elimination, you throw the best guy you have. Period. End of story.

When facing elimination, you throw the best guy you have. Period. End of story. Or do you throw the guy that's got the best chance of winning? It's not a black and white, 'end of story' type of issue. The decision has been made, but I'm just bringing up a viable what-if situation.

LSU has already seen him very recently. Don't think he would have the same success again. I think you ride your horse and hope gives you 5-6 innings. LSU will try and get his pitch count up early in the game

I am glad that we are almost to game time, the what ifs will be replaced by the what is. One game, two teams, settle it for everyone. GO BEAVS!

But I think I would've thrown something slightly different. Hence why I'm not a coach.
