Go get 'em Jake. I thought he might get the bump today. Ras has his power back and is a great thrower, but his control is still a wildcard and he's not an artful pitcher yet. Jake at least has that potential if his breaking stuff is on. I predict that in his pre-game interview, Casey is going to say that he has complete confidence in Jake and he's going to be just fine, with no concern whatsoever.  GO BEAVS! FINISH THIS! |

I also think that if Jake isn't lights-out, that we'll see Mulholland in the 4th inning or thereabouts, even if the Tigers haven't scored much. Jake the 2nd is the one that I think can give the Tigers real fits, but his comfort zone is eating up those middle innings. Thompson's used to the big stage of the starter, and he just might surprise us after his last few starts...

The whole Razz conversation is funny to me. How many innings has he seen in the post season? If he was ready he'd be getting some work here and there to shake off rust and get game ready. He has not. Actually the BP as a whole has not because Fehmel had given 17 innings of 6 hit ball. But, there have been spots to get guys "wet" in the CWS. To me it doesn't lend itself to great results if we actually need the BP extensively today. Hope I'm wrong. Also never disregard the $2.2 mil sitting out there and TB's "influence" how much Razz throws. Argue if you want... but it happens. |

I'd think if anything they'd hold Razz for a game. I think Jake will be on a short leash. More than 3 runs and he's out. Maybe even 3 (unless it's over 9 innings of course).

What generally happens with JT if he gets by the first 2-3 Innings he gets better. If he gets the Low Strike Calls and his Slider is working, good luck LSU. If they are Squaring Up JT Early, that is a problem.
