Bigby-Williams is innocent until proven guilty. I think thats how the Justice System works Heimlich had done everything required of him and is a student in good standing with the school and legal system, and a guy well on his way to being a good citizen and a success story for rehabilitation and our justice system... seems like there should be no restrictions on him, no? I think that's how the Justice System works? Clearly not...

From what I remember understanding of the Kerry Eggers article he didn't actually need to update his address. This was a rather costly mistake by the Corvallis PD, to say the least!

I think that's how the Justice System works? Clearly not... I am under the assumption that missing his annual update is a class c felony in the state of Oregon... But i could be wrong That could be the law, but Heimlich was not required to do so. It was an error by the local police. "In Oregon, a juvenile sex offender from out of state is not required to register again on his 21st birthday. Were Heimlich a resident of Oregon or convicted in Oregon, he would have had to. As a Washington resident attending college in Oregon, that part of the law did not apply to him. At least that was the way Heimlich's Corvallis attorney, Stephen Ensor, saw it. When Corvallis police included Heimlich in a sweep of sex offenders who had not registered, they didn't realize he wasn't required to under Oregon law. Ensor, took that to the district attorney, who agreed to dismiss the case." portlandtribune.com/pt/12-sports/363027-243259-a-look-at-some-issues-involving-luke-heimlich-

This thread needs to go to some other place. Let's talk smack and baseball here.

Nobody is posting on the Basketball board right now, and this I thought was somewhat relevant with the uproar from some Tiger fans regarding Heimlich. You thought wrong. Basketball board is for OSU basketball topics. Baseball board is for OSU baseball topics. There is some leeway, but to say nobody is posting ont he basketball board is ignoring the existence of the NEW! icons that are there for a reason.

On boards and topics. If they're close to on topic it would be nice if they weren't moved until there was something else to talk about.
Example: The football recruiting board was very busy during football recruiting and the days shortly after the signing date.... then the posts were moved and a message was left stating to the effect that they are no longer recruits since they're signed... killed the recruiting board for weeks and didn't perk up the board they were moved to. A lot of people might consider the kids to be recruits until they actually show up, maybe even actually play.
Now granted, the uo basketball stuff on the OSU basketball board is kind of off topic, but it is basketball, and with the absence of other OSU basketball topics maybe a little leniency could occur for a few days just to spark the board until other truly related topics show up? Just a thought.
