Coach Kelly Sullivan has retired. I am guessing he is 60-years-old.
The D'Arpino sisters announced they are transferring to tsdtr. As a guess, they will get a partial scholarship or none at all. That school is loaded with sprinters. It's not a stretch to say that the short relay team would be a potential silver medal winner at a world championships or olympics. (After the USA team) The sisters are part of a continuing trend of our better athletes to find other schools. Kinsey Gomez went to Idaho and is approaching world class. She specifically commented about the lack of competitive culture as a reason for leaving. Melissa Ausman transferred to Concordia and has moved up in the performance lists. Sara Almen was a grad transfer at Auburn.
I'm not sure what the next few years looks like, but it is hard to imagine it being much worse.

Then run real hard until you are out of breath. Was that the extent of the coaching? When I helped Will Stephens with the women's team in the late 70's-early 80's he had clocks everywhere to time people and he was almost always holding a megaphone so he could blast runners were dragging. Or is this more about not using high-tech training tools?
