The game is really getting in the way of their talking about themselves,

That was interesting about Ripkin calling all of Mcdonald's pitches for the entire year.
But...yeah. Old

When the ESPN bozos were shocked that LSU only had 1 run against us I muted them. Obviously they never looked at our team ERA.

telling that MCD said the first time he had seen OS was Monday night
ummm, yeah. SEC honk
you'd think just by accident he'd have seen a few innings. Maybe even some highlights on ESPN. God forbid DVR a game and skip through it. To, you know ....watch the #1 team in the land

It takes a long time to review all his past performances and highlights from decades ago. Plus, he has to review all Peterson's highlights and gems, too! That leaves little time to crawl home from the bar.

Never heard announcers talk about themselves so much. Amazing just how little they seem to realize how pathetic and boring their stories are.
Maybe this sort of self-aggrandizing passes for in-game entertainment in the SEC?? Parker runs circles around these no-talents.

Big Ben in is alot better when paired with Chris Burke. He stays in the game and actually talks baseball strategy, pitch sequences, and is very informative. Last night was cringe worthy

Kyle Peterson is a massive tool. Not sure what his deal is, but he never misses a chance to diss the Beavs or belittle their accomplishments. Even during the 13-1 game it was all about the Walker injury or how LSU gave it away, blah blah blah. All the free passes, as if the Beavers hitters had nothing to do with it. I don't understand it, I thought he was a Stanford alum? I'll never forget during the '06 and '07 runs him rocking Carolina blue throughout the finals, and pretty much openly rooting against OSU during ESPN's coverage. I mean, what gives? Did Pat Casey steal his girl or something once upon a time??? ;-D

His finest work was dissing on Fehmel all game until we took a commanding lead, then Bryce was all-world. Even as a SEC homer network you'd think some better broadcasters were warranted. I mean the eff else is going on right now???

My theory is that since Kyle is from Omaha, ESPN figured they could use him and get away with not having to pay travel costs...you know, with all the belt tightening over there lately. It's the only logical explanation. ;-)
