Define "many".
That said, OSU fans shouldn't be gloating. We may have to face them again. Baseball is a fickle game, and fortunes can turn on a dime.
Great win last night!

All we have to do is look back at 2006. We lost to Miami 11-1 in that first game. Nothing guarantees we can beat LSU or FSU on Friday. Have to work for it just like any of the other games we've won this year. None of those 56 wins matter anymore, just the next (hopefully) 3.

Yes in a matchup of styles the Beavs prevailed last night. In a rematch there's potential OS fails to execute on offense and we do give their talented hitters pitches to hit.
I don't see it happening twice but let's let them play ball

I don't see it happening twice but let's let them play ball I am not a baseball expert. But listening to Casey after last night's game was educational for me. He said that when the Beavs were struggling with the second pitcher that they had to change the way they approached the at bat. I think the adaptability of this team to fit the current circumstances is what keeps them winning. We played Fullerton differently than the beginning of the LSU game. Our offense changed a bit again in the middle of last night's game. But like I said, I'm no expert.

Yep, would rather face FSU now than an angry, very good baseball team. Done gloating here, looking to the next game!

Baseball is really a thinking persons game. It's one of the big reasons I have loved the game. I played 11 years of baseball altogether, from LL, Babe Ruth, High School, one year of army baseball and a short stink trying out in college after my army duty. I enjoy a 1-0 game as much as a 10-9 game or a blowout.
There is so much going on and so many decisions to make in every game, every inning and every at bat, actually down to every pitch and every fielding play and so on.
When do yo hit and run or run and hit, when do you suicide squeeze or safety squeeze or steal a base. The rules are complicated as are the situations. Casey does a fantastic job of running our program at OSU. He is one of the very best coaches in America, and I am not just talking baseball. Every once in a while I disagree with a Casey decision, most of the time it turns out I am wrong. Last night the commentators (who I thought were big time LSU... SEC hacks) said he should have taken Fehmel out in the 7th inning to save his arm. My opinion was that Casey was right in leaving him in through 8. Bryce is not a power pitcher, it is much easier on the warm arm of a finesse pitcher to go 8 then it is a power thrower.
Casey is unique in his ability to manage a game and a game situation. He has a second sense and a ton of experience. He is also endeared to all OSU fans for not taking the big money 10 years ago when Notre Dame was recruiting him and staying with Oregon State. He is being repaid now with his experiences with this team and others we have enjoyed and we are the benefit of those decisions.
God, I love this game...GO BEAVS!

Miscues and freebies were part of this game for sure. But lets not take too much rightful credit away from the Beavers... they pushed LSU into freebies. We had constant pressure from base runners. LSU had to pitch out several times, 3-4, maybe even a few more to squash a potential hit and run or steal attempt. Free balls and stress on the pitcher. Beavers were working the counts, stressing the pitchers and showing plate discipline. A lot of the balls were not total gimmies. Lots of walks, yes... but that doesn't mean it was just LSU screwing up alone... we helped!

Yes.... we have to remember that when a batter "draws" a walk.... it could be that the pitcher doesn't want to give him anything good to hit. I'm starting to go crazy with the idea that a walk is a gift.... it can also be an effort to minimize the damage. Just because a Beaver hitter was walked, you can't assume if the pitcher threw a strike it would result in an out... lots of even better outcomes for Beaver hitters are possible if they have strikes to hit... see KJ with the bases juiced.... looking back they should have walked him
