I think I have to go with the CF overthrow of not 1, not 2 but 3 cutoff men. Allowed us to move up a couple bases. IIRC Larnach then drove in.
My fav because he got so many others involved. I mean a walk is just pitcher-catcher. But a overthrow like that? Everybody is involved. That's team right there

That CF absolutely GAVE the Beavers one run because of a "mental" error. He just completely f#$ked up. Later in the game the CF got LSU a run with his solo HR, but the two runs were equal. OSU has 9 players in the field who do not GIVE the opponent any runs. They may not hit a HR every game, but an HR is still just ONE run. Every run you give away in the field is equal to a solo HR, but many coaches just don't understand that the same way Pat Casey does. SaveSave

Stupid NCAA gametracker sucks so I don't want to go back & look. CF picks up a single as the runner on first is on the move. He ends up @ 3B. CF overthrows 2B in short outfield, SS between pitcher & 2B and the 1B runs in to try and corral the throw so the runner on 3B doesn't score . I completely forgot about the comebacker to the pitcher that he bobbled. That might be #2

That might be #2 Giving Kwan no respect, bad scouting, arrogance (imho) or just plain missed it, on the first pitch to set the tone. Then to overplay the next AB and allow a basehit, the whole thing is simply classic.

It wasn't much of a misplay, but my favorite was Kwan's first bunt. The throw, under duress, was wide of first base. Though the fielder caught the ball, a more accurate throw might have gotten Kwan out, or at least it would have made a closer play.
The whole situation set the tone for the game: We will force you to be perfect on every play and every throw.
