Saw it tweeted earlier but loved it: "you can't spell ExCuSes without SEC". Good stuff!

I was more stressed out by Abilene Christian than LSU..... That said, I don't know who I should root for in the FSU-LSU game. And it ain't over yet - Coastal Carolina came out of the losers bracket, we came out of the losers bracket... Also wondering, were the announcers all LSU alumni? Sounded like it at times in the game.....even when they were down by a dozen. Go Beavers!

And it ain't over yet - Coastal Carolina came out of the losers bracket, we came out of the losers bracket... Also wondering, were the announcers all LSU alumni? Sounded like it at times in the game.....even when they were down by a dozen. Go Beavers! Both Arizona and Coastal Carolina came out of the losers' bracket last year. They are the only teams to come out of the losers' bracket in the current format. Otherwise, the 2-0 team has gone 4-2 in Friday games and 2-0 in Saturday games. Before that, 2012 South Carolina, 2010 South Carolina, 2007 North Carolina, 2006 Oregon State, 2003 Stanford, 2002 South Carolina, and 1999 Florida State turned the trick. All told, in the Super Regional Era, the 2-0 team has gone to the Championship Game/Series 27 of 36 (75%) times. In the current, post-2012 format, the 2-0 team has won 6 of 8 (75%) times. I would personally root for Florida State. The Seminoles are softer in my opinion. Plus, I have the sneaking suspicion that LSU throws Lange (30th pick in the draft), if the Tigers are still alive on Friday. Plus, I want 2017 Oregon State to pull a 2007 Oregon State. 2007 Oregon State beat each team on its side of the bracket (unseeded Cal State Fullerton, national seed Arizona State, and unseeded UC Irvine in that order). Also, we should all root for Florida State to win in 23 innings like abureid said. The win over LSU was the most lopsided Oregon State win since the March 4 win over UC Davis. Before that, the last time Oregon State beat Kansas State 14-0 in Surprise, Arizona, in 2016. Both those teams had losing records. Oregon State beat Bryant 14-0 in 2013. Bryant won the Northeast Conference in 2013 to go to the Tournament, the last Tournament team that Oregon State beat by 12 or more runs. The last time Oregon State beat an SEC team by 12+ runs? 2010 in a 17-1 win over Tennessee. The last time Oregon State won a game in the Tournament by 12+ runs? 2006 in a 15-0 win over Stanford.
