The walks did them in again. From the "Omaha will do that to you Dept" - Workman for CSF - never given up more than 2 walks in an outing all year.. comes on in relief, walks 3 in a row, gets yanked. Nerves... That's why I like our chances. We don't blink.

So you wouldn't say that Jake Thompson blinked? Happens to the best of them.

So you wouldn't say that Jake Thompson blinked? Happens to the best of them. Totally true, and it has been JT's achilles heel throughout his career... Pat Casey even called it before the game, smh... However, the Beaver team AS A WHOLE, did not blink. Did Workman take both losses?

CSF Failure to Pitch. FSU looks like they are more than willing to kick the Ball Around. Not over impressed with their Pitching. JT Pulled an old JT in game one. To make it worse his Slider was not working. When he is going well, keeping the Ball Down and that Dang Slider is working he is almost un-hitable. Hope he gets another chance and is under better control. Flump em Fehmel! Go Beav's

I was thinking CSF was the best team I'd seen in the regionals and CWS so far.

I was thinking CSF was the best team I'd seen in the regionals and CWS so far. They were. Fullerton State threw everything that they had at Oregon State. But the Titans blinked first and came up a run short. That broke them. LSU won a Pyrrhic victory over Florida State. The Tigers threw their ace and their third and fourth best pitchers to win by a run. That left LSU with not enough arms to keep Oregon State at bay. LSU's #2 pitcher was coming back from injury. Having no backup plan, if your injured starter cannot go 5 is a bad place to be, when going up against the #1 team in the country.
