This really has nothing to do with Monday's game, just LSU fans in general. I was in Baton Rouge for the game in 2004 and beforehand, every LSU fan was super nice to me, giving me food and drink without exception. I feel their generosity was due to their overwhelming feeling that they were gonna grind us poor Beavers into the ground. After the game, they were equally hospitable because they hadn't. The other thing that sticks out is how perplexed they were when I told them I came from Portland. "That's a long drive", they said. Telling them I came by plane, they were equally quizzical. No lie. I'm sure I could have convinced them we just got color TV, but I didn't want to toy with the mouse any longer. Beavs win. We treat every fan base the exact same way(even Alabama fans)... it has nothing to do with expectations or outcome and never has, it's called hospitality... We fill you up on good food and beer and send you on your way, regardless of who you are, who you cheer for and regardless of outcome... you are not special in that respect As for the "drive"... lol... it's a joke that you didn't catch... work on that sense of humor, baw... which brings me to my next point... it's plainly evident that you baws have a superiority complex over people from the south... this isnt the first time I've seen ignorant remarks about LSU fans on this site... congratulations on being another uninformed dolt from the PNW... you wear your conceited ignorance well PNW SJWs have given us plenty of fodder to insult y'all with, so it would be wise to keep ignorant insults to a minimum... but I don't want to toy with the mouse any longer. Tigers win. Not all of us MR. Corndog should be a great game. any true fan of college baseball has to respect LSU and its amazing fan base, We do our best to treat opponents fans with the same respect. With one exception we will never treat duck fans quite so nice. help them up if they fall maybe offer them food and drink hell no we don't want them to stay lol.

some day I hope our stadium could hold say 6-7k and is sold out every game( currently just over 3k w/ temp bleachers), LSU's holds something like twice that already and nearly always is sold out (i'm not clearly looking at specific statistics)

Yeah we treat baseball at LSU like Kentucky treats basketball. People come to tailgate hours before a game almost like a football environment and even midweek games you can see 6 to 7k fans. It has the feel of a triple A game. In reference to the term "baw" its meant as like your boys or buddies. I guess it's more of a southern reference and really just recent in the last year.

I'm sure you'll be offended but from my perspective LSU lacks plate discipline.
LSU's team batting average is near .300 just like OSU. Whatever both of these teams are doing in terms of an offensive approach at the plate is working just fine.
LSU ranks 46th nationally in team batting Avg and OSU is 37th.
It's these kinds of comments that make your fans sound biased and uninformed baseball fans.

Just win damn it! That's all I have to say about the next game. Who cares about their stadium size, fan base size, endowment size, how many they travel. There may be 20,000 LSU fans at the game, but if the Beavers can hear the 2000 Oregon State fans even by the slightest and faintest, that's all they need.

We are biased. You are biased. That's what we're doing here. Talking about our magnificent team together. We have the right to be biased on this website--it's for Beaver fans, duh. As for uninformed, well, that could be true, but not of everyone on the board. Some take their Beavers seriously, and some take their Beavers and college baseball seriously. And to be honest, there are a lot of college sports fans who are sick of the SEC hype, so you're bound to get a little flak just from ALWAYS being the sports personalities favorites. Having said all that, I look forward to the game tomorrow. I didn't know much about Vanderbilt when we played them, but the announcers loved them and we crushed them. Fullerton, too, though maybe not "crushed"--unless you look at the stat sheet. So bring it on. Our Beaver team is fearless and methodical. And their fans are biased as they should be.

[b I do find some weird satisfaction being called biased and uninformed by anyone from the SEC. can't explain it. You are familiar with the phrase plate discipline and can apply it to a game I'm sure. Let's just watch and see LSU discipline. If Fehmel is on they will need it because nothing will be middle of the plate or not have movement. Or Fehmel is up and middle in which case he will get lit up he's not throwing it by anyone. I will ask you to watch Steven Kwan the most disciplined hitter I've watched in a long time. The kid hardly has ABs less than five pitches. He'll frustrate you and drive pitch counts up by not chasing a pitchers pitch or staying alive with two strikes. His damage to a pitch count can be game changing.

While possible its very unlikely since OSU has held opponants to less than 5 runs 52 times this season. Should be a good game. I think OSU has a small lead late into the game but LSU isnt able to pull off the late inning heroics this time. I predict a 5-3 win for OSU. But its baseball so anything can happen in any game. GO BEAVS!!! Is it monday yet??? How many of the 52 games where against an actual decent opponent, yall have a very weak SOS baw Funny the SEC has less earned runs per game vs OSU than OSU's entire "weak" schedule had
