Let's not be so quick to underestimate LSU. Plenty of Beav teams of yesteryear were underestimated and the opponents paid dearly. Let's just go out and play some tough D with some above average pitching and the cards should fall our way.

I'm positive PC never allows much overt arrogance in the locker room. Confidence... yes. Expectations to play sound ball and every pitch add if it's the last... yes.
Underestimate or disrespect an opponent... Never!

I posted this in a different thread. Better fit here. The much ballyhooed LSU tigers are having a game flat out handed to them due to piss poor defense and a lack of fundamentals on the apart of FSU. If that is what it takes for LSU to eek out a win over FSU.........Then the rest of field needs to be afraid. This Beavs team isn't going to hand you runs - period. And god help you if you give the Beavs and extra at bat......or even an extra swing for that matter. A truly fun team to watch! Kind of like how CSF handed y'all 3 straight walks to let y'all back in the game... you member?? I member We will be starting Eric Walker on Monday.. He is a freshman who truly earned the #3 starting spot... can't wait for this game!! Geaux Tigers!!A and how does that differ from the three straight errors on one play that Florida State gave LSU to allow them to gain the lead and ultimately win the game?  ?? Face it two teams blinked tonight and they lost so onto Monday and what should be quite the baseball game. Go Beavers! Oh, and Bryce Fehmel was a freshman all-American by the way. |

Casey said Fehmel, so I'd go with that. I doubt we'll see a surprise. If we avoid using Drew on Monday, he may start Game 3. Matt Boyd threw an inning of relief in Game 1 in 2013 and then threw a 9-inning shutout in Game 3 in the losers' bracket in 2013. Ras should be good for a nine-inning shutout in game 3, if needed. Or he could just migrate to the bullpen for good like Joe Paterson in 2007. |

I can understand OSU fans riding a high from securing an opening CWS victory. However, it's pretty clear that this site is littered with bandwagon OSU baseball fans b/c true baseball fans aren't this delusional. It's amazing how bad LSU is all of a sudden in your eyes after watching 1 game, which was a WIN in the CWS. Sure, this was not close to one of LSU's better games and Lange was off missing his fastball command all game. Still, LSU scored 5 runs on 9 hits with 0 Errors to extend their winning streak to 17 games by beating a fairly hot FSU team which was on a 13 game winning streak itself.
I can honestly say without a doubt in my mind that the OSU fans here are more full of themselves than Alabama football fans. I actually can't believe I'm saying that but it's true. The difference is that they are a major storied program with the hardware to back it up.
I watched OSU play CSF today and I'm not sure what game you guys were watching that has this board's confidence so high. I like OSU and think they are a very good team. That opinion does not change just b/c they didn't come out the gate swinging in the CWS and blowout their opponent. Only non-educated baseball fans take 1 game and define that team while disregarding a whole seasons success including conference and tournament titles

Jrock you are right on. Nothing wrong with having confidence for your team, but to think LSU will be an easy win is laughable. Did LSU have a great game offensively??? No, but found a way to win just like OSU did. Is Florida State better then CSF?? We will find out soon enough. LSU has the championships on the wall yet we still respect our opponents. We have been spoiled. LSU fans think the season is a huge disappointment if we don't go to the CWS every year. We played like crap last night and still won. Can't wait till Monday. Much respect for OSU. Should be a great game.

That is what I was thinking! No reason to even Play LSU. Fehmel doesn't throw hard enough to break an egg. Our best Pitcher is sitting at home, it is over. I for one will be watching under the Bed on my Apple with no volume so nobody will know I am watching. Can I apologize for OSU for even taking the field? Forgive us for we know not what we do.....

I do know that no SEC team held Vanderbilt to less runs in friday and saturday games than OSU. Also no SEC team earned more runs than OSU vs Vandy's top 2 starters. Crazy how tough the SEC is yet no SEC team could manage either |

It's hilarious how provincial you guys are..its actually sort of bizarre.
