Yes, fantastic at-bat.
I'm not sure about taking the bat out of Cadyn's hands, and only playing for one run. Casey must detect some mental tightness and want to get something on the board.
On the plus side, Siebold is at 50+ pitches after two. Gotta like that. Still, seems like we should be able to dial in on his fastballs before long...

I will tell you this is the worst called game by Nate in some time. Absolute no clue what is going on... throwing hitter's pitches in plus counts. JT was obviously amped or off, but the pitch calls were very very strange. And altbough not hurt by a couple calls the HR and 3-2 single by the 8 hitter with base open were served. Just don't get 7 straight breakers! Very disappointing.

Ben McDonald must have coached like 5 CWS champs judging by the way he is questioning Casey and crew. I think Ben has the chops to question what he's seen so far. You don't have to be too baseball savvy to have some doubts. Probably had not seen anything but highlights and stats of us and thinking "what"? |
