I believe this story is still an important clarification of the Heimlich issue even with the revision in the one statement under discussion in this thread. I just wanted folks to know that the original article had been revised. I know more but I cannot say it at this time.

Does the "more" include when and how much OSU and Casey knew about Luke's status before dannys article dropped? Does the "more" include any new nuanced thinking from Dr Ray after more investigation or does include Dr Ray holding fast to Luke needing to GTFO of OSU? Come on you can't leave a nugget like that just hanging there! |

There is no way Eggers would have quoted Casey saying something if Casey hadn't said it. Period. Sounds more like a misunderstanding between them of on/off the record attribution. Either way, it wasn't accurate. Love Kerry, don't get me wrong, but you can't say it's not a major error. Not necessarily. |

So, we all generally think what happened is that Luke was told it was up to him, but was basically told that nobody here is going to be happy if you decide to pitch?

Luke releases statement saying he didn't want to be a distraction. Later we find out the administering staff decided it for him. You ding think that it was decided for him? If not, the timeline makes no sense. OSU completely botched this entire thing... period. |

baseba1111 Right...I wondered why everyone was getting on Eggers' case for saying the decision was made for him. Effectively it was....sort of like, if you decide to play now, you won't have a home here later type of thing.
