After all, the Beaver team last year was so far superior to this year's UCLA team that was granted the boon of the NCAA "needing" to get a 4th Pac-12 squad in the tourney, it gnaws at me to even touch on it.
But it seems to me that many of the teams were really Frosh heavy - going to be a lot more experience on the field in the 12 next season. Beavs lose a lot of people in the field and on the mound, but we are fortunate to have some outstanding people coming back. Might not be able to go 27-3, but we should still be one of the favorites to win the conference again.

We don't really lose that many volume-wise in the field. Anderson sounded like he was coming back. KJ, Gretler, and Donahue could very well be the only position players who do not return in 2018.

You didn't mention pitching, and I actually think Donahue will be back. He's ending the year the right way, but i think he's better served by seeing if he can carry that over into an improved senior season.

My response was specifically to your statement that the Beavs would lose a lot in the field. I don't think that's really true. The losses on the mound are undeniable.
