Given that Pat Casey is a religious man and several of the players form a prayer circle before the game, I would have thought by now that a reporter would have taken a cut at the LH story from a spiritual context. I imagine Casey and some teammates would speak to redemption. I think in this context Casey would break his silence.

hmmm, wish in one hand do something in the other?
The little O, won't let this one go. Now citing deadspin article about P12 networks on what or what not to discuss on the air. They got their pound of flesh and are now pounding it into chicken fried steak.

I think Canzano still has about 8 more follow-up articles to go, over/under on Moran updates is 6. not to stir up more LH debate - but to be a fly on the wall w/Moran still covering the team at this point . That's uh.. complicated - to put it mildly.

ESPN has also kept this alive - the CWS is their product and my concern is that they will cauterize OSU every chance they get, especially if he pitches. All the same, I believe he should start game 1.

Personally, I’d like to see him play. Let the naysayers say what they want. Let the little o write another story, oh well. Go out there and do what you have been doing all season, making quality pitches and getting guys out! LH has been a huge part of this magical season, let him go out and enjoy it the experience and atmosphere with His coaches and teammates. Go Beavs!

The latest oregonian piece has Tracy emailing all power 5 conference members to adopt IU's zero tolerance of any felonies involving sexual assault. I think that might be the overreach that gets some push back. In the south, shockingly, the criminal justice system has not been colorblind. This type of policy will find opposition from the ACLU and every legal center in the south. I think the oregonian just had their "bring them to heal" moment. They are now pushing a policy that many will find racist and a dog whistle to white supremacists.

Exactly, denying a kid an education and a chance to earn a living in the future, even though he's paid his debt to society. Double jeopardy, has lawsuit written all over it.

I would be willing to donate to the cost of buying ad space in the Oregonian to print this piece. (I doubt if I could afford the entire cost, but would be willing to help.)

Include some of the key comments too... I wonder if ESPN would like to hear the "other" side of the Moran version and what the law vs libel is really? If I was a lawyer I'd take this case pro bono

Hard to win a case like this against the press, just saying.

This was a very well written and thought out story. I had similar thoughts as this guy and stand by what he states. It is a very long read, but well worth it in my opinion. It's definitely a reminder to me to never give the Oregonian another dime as long as I live.

It is hard to sue newspapers because of the First Amendment, but it can be done.

Hardly. I wasn't denied one either, I just had to pay for it. Your lawsuit isn't worth 2 bits.
