According to Kerry Eggers' latest article in the Portland Tribune, "OSU Beavers, The team to beat in Omaha". The Beavers will go to Omaha without the services of Heimlich, removed from the team before the Super Regional after OregonLive's revelation last Thursday that he was convicted of sexual abuse of a minor when he was 15 years old. Except he wasn't removed from the team before the Super Regional.

Exactly - Will be interesting to see if LH decides to be a part of the rotation in Omaha - if everything I have heard and read is correct - it is, and has always been, his decision. If he decides to take the mound, Pat Casey will put him there. I respect his decision to voluntarily bow out at this point in time. Thankfully, we have had other guys step up to fill the void. It will be fun to watch!

There is so much that is still unknown about the whole Heimlich deal including what his official status is. Eggers has been doing this a long time, and he is usually not that imprecise with his words, especially knowing how much any and all news on LH will be scrutinized. I am inferring from this that Luke is no longer being considered to pitch at the very least, and possibly no longer on the official roster.

The Beavers don't usually announce who is on the active roster for the postseason. As far as I can tell, the only way you know is to see who is introduced before the game. I'm thinking in this case, there will be a lot more attention paid to the active roster for Omaha.

He has let football commits info out early. Plus some other stuff. I can probably chalk it up due to deadline itis. If Luke was removed from the team he would not have been introduced at the SR or been on the bench. Luke removed himself from playing as to not be a distraction. Big difference I'm sure that if Luke feels like he can play Casey will put him in the lineup
