I can't recall a more shocking, numbing, confusing, sad 24 hours in my years as a Beaver Believer. This morning I find myself thinking more and more about the other kids on the team who have worked their tails off all year.
In the meantime, I simply just hope for the best for everyone involved and regardless of the outcome tonight, I'm glad that today is a new day.

It has been shocking, to say the least. This will be a real test, to see what kind of mettle this team has. I believe they are strong, and will rise to meet this challenge. GO BEAVS!

I'm curious to see if EugeneDave's signs will reflect anything in the news lately. I'm thinking not. Maybe something like: "We Shall Overcome"? Not to change the subject or anything but how's the weather looking for this afternoon? Weather.com says mostly dry for both the Friday and Saturday around game time. Do you concur? |

I find myself really torn on this....certainly puts a damper on things, but like a poster said above....all these guys worked really hard for this moment, and I think it's a disservice to them to take anything away from the excitement of this Super Regional. There's no easy way to handle this situation...unfortunate for all parties.
I don't know what restoration Luke has done...I guess not knowing the full story there of the aftermath makes it impossible for me to judge how he's to be treated now. My hope is that he has reformed, gotten therapy, and is figuring out how to live with himself honestly and make things right- or at least as right as they can be. The true test will be how he lives his life from here on out.

I even had the same feeling about the proposed sign to commemorate the Vandy player. Dave's intent is good, but I today's climate I'd not be surprised to see Vandy players and fans take offense and wondering if there were ulterior motives to opening up an old wound.
Even without our circumstance I'd leave that sign out. And... hoping no Vandy fans show. The less there are the less chance a very bad sign from them appears!!
