Mick Abel, 6'4", 175 lbs, due out in 2020 as a Beav commit. Already throws low 90's as a freshman and has, it sounds like, a Luke - like work ethic in both baseball and academics. Lot's of speculation that he may never make it to campus ( ala go early - pro ), however, in reading the article, it sure seems like he is locked in on the academic piece too.

I played baseball with his dad, who was a big, country strong guy from LaGrande, played at Treasure Valley, Eastern Oregon and a year of minor league ball at TriCity. Super, super nice guy and a great teammate. If Mick is really low 90s now and he develops the same body his dad had, he'll be VERY impressive.
