SH leading TT 4-3, top 7th..... TT batter triples with 1 out and the SH third baseman CLEARLY and intentionally knocks his arm off the bag and (incredibly) he's called out as he slides into 3B.
Umpire missed huge call....rest of the umps cover for him. Pathetic national announcer in ESPN studio too gutless to just plain say TT screwed royally on the play by an obviously incompetent ump.
If TT does end up losing 4-3, you'll be hearing about this screw job on more than just this post.

Saw the last couple of innings and the replay at sign off of game. Call at full speed looked questionable. Color guy was bad.

saw it differently, runner is out the instant his hand came off the base, he was out before the 3rd baseman pulled his hand up and away from the base.

I did not see that way. The 3rd baseman lifted the runners arem with his and the tag followed. Great play by the Houston 3rd sacker and a poor job by the base runner. If they had video replay it would have been overturned!

Nope. Check at about the 2:01(or so) mark of the game tape. Announcers were right....third baseman knocks his hand off, then "lurches" it way up and away from the bag. Best view is the vid taken from left field. Vid from 1st base line doesn't show the play as clearly. Of course it doesn't really matter at this point. Would hate to see Beavers eliminated on a call like this one. _____ see: www.espn.com/watch/?gameId=371561190

I had forgotten all about this play! That was a great World Series.

After watching the replay, it looks like the runners momentum was carrying him past the bag....I could see why the ump called it that way. That's just my take after watching it from the camera in the outfield.

Call was correct. Runner's hand came off the bag, then the 3rd baseman lifted the runner's arm.
