I didn't get to hear any postgame because #sleep, but did status of Nick's hand come up? I'm assuming the 4 bunts and 1 (?) swing all night = hand still bothering him. We obviously need him next weekend against VanderClemson.

I think Nick's hand was doing better, but after the first bunt (called by the coaches), he could see the defense was not up to the task of covering with his speed, so he decided to put on a clinic.

Jim Wilson did comment during his final at bat, on a swinging foul ball he hit, that he looked pretty normal. At any rate the bunt successes will no doubt be playing with the heads of the super regional opponent. Delicious!

I think Nic is hurt worse than they are letting on. we may find out later that he had a broken bone in his hand. from my seat at goss you can see him wince when he swings full out. also he is not driving the barrel thru the zone ,its like he is just throwing the head of the bat at the ball. that is what is producing the lazy fly balls. the ball is not jumping off his bat like it did all season
