Just a couple of quick observations. Nick Madrigal is not normal. Since being hit in the hand it appears his hand speed is slower and he is not really stinging the Ball. I think we have missed darn near a whole year of a Great Centerfielder. Cary is really, really good and looks like could be a real good Hitter. That Big kid can really run. Think he has been hurt most of time as a Beaver.

Carey's been slow in recovering from his Tommy John surgery which is an odd thing to happen to an outfielder but I expect him to be an anchor on next year's team. He wasn't the Gatorade player of the year for Florida as a high school junior for nothing.

He wasn't the Gatorade player of the year for Florida as a high school junior for nothing. Next years outfield might be similar to the current infield scenario: an embarrassment of riches. Speed with Kwan, Cary, Jones, plus the skills of a returning Nobach (?)...and maybe a Senior Jack Anderson (?)...not to Larnach (pure DH next year?). Casey really knows how to reload. |
