I have to wonder if we'll see Donahue in the starting lineup again. That was a gawdawful throw from left, and he looked completely lost at the plate.
Not sure what happened to him, such a promising player that has unfortunately reverted in his production...

Most runs the Beavs scored against a 4 seed in regional play. Also the first time a game against a 4 seed that didn't end with either a save or a walk off.

Yale will be a closer game. Buckle up. No rest until monday. And nothing better happen then. Need to see how good their #2 guy is, assuming they went with their ace yesterday. Everyone has a good Friday guy who could start in the weekend for the Pac-12, but Saturday sets the best from the rest. As for Luke, won't be his first rodeo against a swing first and ask questions later lineup. |

Mulholland in after 2 outs in the top of the 8th based clear I just don't get why Jake needed to come out for the 8th? The last two balls were hit hard... 105+ is plenty in a 7-1 game. Just for the ovation? the ovation was nice, but your right 117 pitches seems too many for this time of year with so much left to play for. save the bullets |

I just don't get why Jake needed to come out for the 8th? The last two balls were hit hard... 105+ is plenty in a 7-1 game. Just for the ovation? the ovation was nice, but your right 117 pitches seems too many for this time of year with so much left to play for. save the bullets Jake is done at least until Monday. There is no need to wear out the bullpen as well. It was clear that Jake had nothing in the tank after the seventh, though. |
