Mulholland in after 2 outs in the top of the 8th based clear I just don't get why Jake needed to come out for the 8th? The last two balls were hit hard... 105+ is plenty in a 7-1 game. Just for the ovation? |

We are making this guy look like All World. He hangs every other pitch. Hit the damn Ball! We're very underwhelming so far.This type of junk ball pitcher seems to be the one type that gives the Beavers fits, but once we get into the bullpen things seem to work a lot better |

This team did exactly what they needed to do. Some may think it is underwhelming...until OSU wins the whole thing and then it is great.
This team is GOOD. REAL GOOD. Let the pitchers do what they do. Very nice average game for JT. Go look up how sick those "average" #'s are.
Offense did what they need to do.
Starters did what they needed to do.
Reserves did what they needed to do.
Defense showed up.
This weekend should not be any type of real concern. If the Beavers do what the Beavers SHOULD do,
there are no concerns this wekend.

Ha, sorry baseba1111, the post I was referring to was right before mine made 13 minutes before I posted (which would have been in 8th inning) - see the one right above mine, and thought it was his comment, not yours from the early innings. Sorry about that, thought it was pretty silly that late.

Sometimes those late-game defenses substitute get you. If Kwan had still been in left field in the 9th Inning he would have caught that fly ball and there would have been no runs allowed sometimes it's not the pitchers fault

Just for the ovation? We have games where you think pitchers should come out earlier than they do...so they "feel good" and have a "positive experience". I get why players stay in the game or don't. Because we have the best team and best coaching staff in NCAA DIV-1 basebaLL. (see what I did there) |

Also a lot of balls put in play. The late start did have a effect. There were several fly balls misjudged. Even the last out Anderson made a last second adjustment. |
