I know the team is fairly young, but I really expected them to be better than this after last years showing from most of them. Judging from the results at the Midlands (Bresser not included), they are either not ready to wrestle, or just not very good! We will be lucky to be in the top 3 in the Pac, and won't make ANY noise at the NCAA's! Someone please explain to me that they are just training to peak at the right time??? It appears to me that we are losing several matches that we have no business losing!!! Rant over!!! There I feel better!

Dhesi got cocky , I can tell you that. He was adjusting his singlet and head gear during matches whil guys were walk towards him, as if they were so beneath him that he could get away with it. Then he pulled that same crap against the kid from ASU, not looking like he was really trying. Got taken down with 3 seconds left and lost. He was pissed, but can only be pissed at himself. I don't know what happened in the second loss, because I was at work, but he only scored 2 points, which means the other guy was the best defensive wrestler in the country, or he just didn't care because he'd lost his shot to wrestle Gwiaz. Or he is injured, I guess that is possible. He better unf@ck himself real quick, though.
Bresser is a stud, and should be an all american this year. As far as the rest, I see a lot of wasted first periods. Guys locking up and staying locked up damn near 3 minutes, like it's freaking Greco out there. It just looks like really crappy tactics. When Dhesi is feeling it, he shoots in the first 20-30 seconds. I feel like I have seen Seth Thomas shoot 3 times this season. Maybe it's coaching, I don't know.
GO Beavs, but yeah, this season has been a huge let down.

I missed everything due to watching some wrestling of my own, but just now getting caught up. That's so unbelievably disappointing (Dhesi). You wonder if the detour to Canada ended up being a bad thing - when I assumed it would do nothing but help.
But aside from that, we have some guys that are an absolute shell of who we saw last season. Was expecting big things out of the lower half of the line-up (beyond RB). Assumed all along that 174 was going to be a gap and was hoping 184 would be stronger. Also didn't anticipate Crawford taking a while to get "back".
They say it's not how you start but how you finish. But on the other hand: Tick tock tick tock.

I agree with the wasted 1st period, and it seems like we rarely score in the last 20 sec, but we do get scored on... Got to wrestle through the entire period.
