Went to dinner with another couple. Time before, she spent about 10-15 minutes on the phone. Talking loud enough to disturb others around her. This time, no sooner than we sat down, out came the phone. This time, she is just fiddling with it doing something or other. So, I very calmly asked he if she would like us to get a different table so she and her phone could have some privacy. She put it away. Afterward, my wife gave me holy hell for being rude.

LOL. Some people have no clue. Totally disrespectful of her.

Attended a funeral last week. A young man checked his phone repeatedly. The priest stopped the service and said: "Sir, if your message is more important than the service I will stop for a few minutes." He then looked directly at the young man for 5 full seconds. I wanted to applaud, but didn't.

Sage : Your wife was probably upset because you took all the credit for saying that. What you should say the next time is: "My wife asked me to tell you to put your phone away and quit being rude." I'm sure Mrs. Sage will have much more "praise" to offer you. She'll probably praise you right there at the table. Trust me.
