I wonder if they have agreed to a mercy rule, if we pile up the runs on them. We have made that type of agreement before, in NC play.

TCU only scored three runs on them. And since this is their NCAA tournament, I expect a competitive series.

This is trap of all traps - take any opponent seriously, and the worst the most. It is the last series for them, their "College World Series" best of 4 against the #1 team in the nation. You have to believe that this team will be traveling and amped up. End the season on a high note Beavs!

I'd rather not go into the post season on 15 game winning streak.

I'd rather not go into the post season on 15 game winning streak. And versus better competition... we'd get better work in scrimmaging. Just a weird schedule, it is not like they have ever been a good baseball school. I realize the end of the season bye is hard to fill, but......

Who else are you going to get, most conferences have their tournaments this weekend or already have. So we picked up a team that isn't eligible for their conference tournament. There really are no good options the last weekend of the year. Just unfortunate that our conference bye week is the last week of the season.

I'd rather not go into the post season on 15 game winning streak. Agreed. It being baseball, it seems at least 33% to 50% likely that SOMETHING is going to happen in ONE game anyhow that delivers a win for Abilene Christian. OSU lineup may have a bit more Mendazona, Jones, Taylor, etc., than usual.

The PAC schedule really messes with the team stuck with the final-week bye, to the point that a fix should really be made. The only teams available to play are teams not eligible for their conference tourney, or those without a tourney that also have an odd number of teams. As near as I can tell, teams with early conference tourneys simply do not play afterward, so the only team I can find that OSU could have scheduled other than non-eligible teams is the odd team in the Big West, which this year is CS Northridge (rpi 170). A possible fix to maximize the Pac's postseason strength of schedule might be to give the previous season's last place team an arranged match-up with the same from the Big West, needing only to determine the home team. www.ncaa.com/news/baseball/article/2017-05-21/2017-division-i-baseball-conference-tournaments-automatic-qualifers

Guaranteed that we will not go into the postseason on a 15 game winning streak, since we are at 12 now. Much better to go into the postseason on a 16 game streak, than to have an embarrassing loss to ACU. My prediction: 2 total blowouts, 1 average fairly easy win, and 1 that makes us sweat.
