I just read this and it is being reported that She is Transferring at Semesters End. I wonder if We would be in the Mix for Her Services? I saw it on e duck forum, which i look at but don't waste time posting there. I also found it by Google Erin Boley. She is a player that has a lot going for her. Would be great to add one more for 2018. If any of You can find more info it would be something to watch.

Interesting find, but it seems OSU is a long, long shot. Her transfer was announced April 10th - so lots of time for info to dribble out from different sources. Boley was voted Miss Basketball in Kentucky her senior year. She was recruited by Louisville, Kentucky & Tennessee before signing with ND..... I presume she has solid connections with all of those programs.....
On the other hand, like probably everyone on this board I'd love to see her sign with the Beavs. I have no memory of Coach R recruiting her out of high school..... If she signs on with the Beavs it will be one of the best kept recruiting secrets in a long while....
On the practical side of things, she did not start as a Freshman on a very good ND team.....

Boley was the 2016 Gatorade National Player of the Year and a McDonald's All American as a high school senior. The 6-foot-2 forward played in 37 games with 10 starts last season and averaged 6.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in 15.0 minutes. She shot 39.5 percent from 3-point range, where her 119 attempts were the third most on the team.

Don't be so quick to dismiss that possibility, 411500. With some acceptable odds, I would take that "long, long shot" bet. Recent OSU incoming transfer Destiny Slocum has likely reached out to Erin Boley. They played with and against each other in two high school all-star games in 2016. Slocum is very engaging and makes friends easily.
Boley, a former McDonald's All-American and MVP of the 2016 Jordan Brand Classic, has apparently reached out to the OSU coaching staff to explore the potential for an official visit. Boley's father has reportedly been in contact with one or more OSU parent(s) to see how the current players enjoy playing for Coach Rueck and his staff. There is an indication that Boley has narrowed her choices to OSU, Oregon, and two other schools.
Look for an Erin Boley sighting in Corvallis in early June. At 6'2" and with a quality outside shooting touch, Boley would be another welcome addition to the Beavs lineup after taking a redshirt season in '17-'18.

beavershoopfan - - lots of interesting information in your post. I don't know if it's understood on this board that you are an individual who has access to inside information on WBB; info not generally available elsewhere. If that is the case, then I guess we can assume what you have written is accurate. On the other hand, if you obtained this info from a written source such as ESPN or a U. sports forum it would save everyone a lot of work if you just said so and shared where you obtained information about who the parents of OSU players are chatting with.
Having said this, I certainly hope that the Beavs have a genuine shot at landing Erin Boley It would be absolutely great if Destiny Slocum helped to reel her in. That would be some kind of impressive recruiting coup to land the country's top transfer and, in turn, have her bring in another top transfer with her - so to speak.
YES, I for sure will look for a June visit from Boley. That would be absolutely great news for the program.....

More speculation about Erin Boley, Oregon State, Oregon, and Vanderbilt showed up last Friday on the Connecticut women's basketball message forum, The Boneyard. Interesting reading. I had also heard from an informed source that Vanderbilt was in the final mix of four schools for Boley. the-boneyard.com/threads/2017-transfer-thread-merged-thread.109818/page-45The pertinent excerpt is below: nwhoopfan said: ↑ That would be quite a coup if UO ends up w/ Boley after OSU got Slocum in this year's transfer sweepstakes. HuskyFan1125 said: ↑ Had heard it's Vanderbilt or one of the Oregon schools. triaddukefan said: ↑ On the surface thats a odd grouping. Yes, it's a one that's even "off the map." Might also explain why news on Erin's impending transfer has lagged compared to Ali Patberg for instance. If she took finals, she then waited to hop on a plane and travel to Oregon. Had heard -- and understood -- about Vandy from the get go. Oregon schools didn't see coming. - If she favors OSU, that will be quite a threesome available to the Beavers in 2018 when Slocum, Boley and Andrea Aquino take the court. - And Oregon will procure another major weapon for the Ionescu travelling circus. However, me still thinks the two-hour drive down the 'pike to Nashville to a very needy Vandy team will be hard to say "no" to.... Dillon77, Friday at 7:54 AM #1124

I get more intrigued by this story the more I read about it. It seems strange to me that a Kentucky girl would consider transferring cross-country to attend an Oregon school - obviously the parents would have to be totally on board with this. That she would be interested in 2 separate schools in Oregon is also vexing. She has at least 30 legitimate programs to choose from and 2 are almost 3,000 miles from home !
The Ducks have a good coach, and an impressive collection of young talent. Very impressive. Whether Sabrina will still be on the roster in 2 years is uncertain - and that could be a factor in their basketball future.
The Beavs are known as hard-nose defensive team. This is more than an issue of attitude or mindset that an athlete must consider. It also a matter of raw aptitude and athletic skill set. I say this because the ND observers claim Boley is somewhat slow, and that her defence is not stellar. So this may or may not lay into the equation.
It's wait and see. However, I'm far more interested in seeing than in waiting !

The fourth school rumored to be in the recruiting mix for transfer Erin Boley is Stanford. Check the link below that contains some favorable sentiment from Notre Dame fans about the kind of player Erin may have been during her final three seasons had she remained in South Bend. Boley's final four colleges of interest appear to be Oregon State, Oregon, Vanderbilt, and Stanford. Unless she opts to play closer to her Kentucky home in Vanderbilt, odds are that we will see her playing in Corvallis for the Beavs or the other two PAC-12 destinations. ndnation.com/boards/showpost.php?b=mcgraw;pid=47922;d=this

Vanderbilt just picked up two hot recruits. Maybe no more room for Boley ? Or, maybe there is and she want's to play ball with them. I am 'guessing' that she now looks West.

I think if we land Erin Boley we are going to be contending for the National Championship in the next 3-4 years (we might even without her).....but check out her bio, and then imagine SR coaching her up: (from www.und.com/sports/w-baskbl/spec-rel/111615aaa.html):ERIN BOLEY, 6-2, Forward (Hodgenville, Ky./Elizabethtown High School) Statistics/Records: Entering her final year at Elizabethtown High School in Elizabethtown, Kentucky (combined record of 113-22, .837, since she became a starter in eighth grade), where she is coached by Tim Mudd ... career per-game statistical averages of 19.4 points and 9.0 rebounds with .546 field-goal percentage, .427 three-point percentage and .829 free-throw percentage... as a junior in 2014-15, averaged 20.1 points and 10.4 rebounds per game while leading her team to a 32-3 record, district and regional titles and berth in state quarterfinals (Kentucky holds a single-class state tournament) ... also shot 54.9 percent from the field, 38.8 percent from the three-point line and 82.5 percent from the free-throw line ... as a sophomore in 2013-14, paced Elizabethtown to a 32-5 record and a berth in Kentucky state championship game as well as district and regional titles ... averaged 20.3 points and 9.4 rebounds while shooting 54.5 percent from the field, 43.9 percent from the three-point line and 84.6 percent from the free-throw line ... as a freshman in 2012-13, helped her school to a 23-8 record and a district championship while collecting 17.7 points and 7.2 rebounds and shooting 54.3 percent from the field as well as 45.5 percent from the three-point line and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line ... already holds Elizabethtown school records for career points (2,472) and rebounds (1,070) with one season remaining ... also has been standout on AAU circuit for Kentucky Premier club and head coach David Tapley ... averaged 17.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game last summer for Kentucky Premier, ranking among the top three scorers in the nation on the 32-team Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) summer series, helping team to 8-2 record. Coach McGraw on Boley... "Erin is hands-down the best perimeter player out there. She can shoot the ball from three, she can rebound and she can do so many other things as well. She's going to fit in perfectly with our offense, so we're really thrilled with her." Chris Hansen, Prospects Nation managing editor, on Boley... "Erin Boley creates a lot of mismatches because she has the size and strength to play in the post but has a great feel for the game facing up. She's really evolved in the last year to use her size better when facing the basket, getting to the rim off the dribble at a rate we had been hoping for as a junior." Chris Mennig, Blue Star Basketball national evaluator, on Boley... "Erin Boley is a bit of a `throwback' -- a strong-framed perimeter player who finds a way to get on the floor playing multiple positions. Not as explosive as Jackie (Young), but can score in multiple ways. She can take a hit and has great touch with the basketball." All-Star Girls Report evaluation of Boley... "Boley is really impressive because she has a great basketball IQ and tremendous fundamentals. She is a great shooter with an inside-outside game, so she will be a tough match-up." espnW Hoopgurlz/Dan Olson Collegiate Girls Basketball Report evaluation of Boley... "Erin Boley, ranked fifth in the nation (by espnW Hoopgurlz), is an elite forward who has starred at Elizabethtown (Kentucky), one of the elite programs in the nation. On top of her scoring ability, the 6-foot-2 Boley also brings leadership qualities, an off-the-charts work ethic and an almost professional level of consistency. She's already won two Gatorade player of the year awards in Kentucky. Bottom line: She's a born winner." VERY impressive resume. How all this translates into her not being a full-time starter as a Frosh for the Irish is perplexing to me !! But I'm totally on board for getting her to OSU.... About a week ago, or so, beavershoopsfan indicated we might get a visit from Boley in June. Does that seem to still be in the cards?
I'm with you 2ndGenBeaver in anticipating GREAT things for WBB if the Beavs can sign her. Not only because of her, but because she adds one more name to a roster of extremely talented players looking to play for the Beavs.
Now if she'd just hurry up and decide one way or the other we could all take a break, take inventory, and get totally stoked for WBB!
