Did Grenier name pronunciation change this week? Both Parker & the Pac 12 guys pronounced it as Gren ...yur. I wonder what has changed? hank got it wrong 2 years ago? Unlikely
I think Pac 12 only gets 4 in. OS, Stanford, Az, UCLA
I only saw the box but Gambrell is done. 2 walks today? Which both scored. How long has it been since he got an out?
The Cougar closer is now a mental case after Friday night. Beavers lit him up today. 2 inherited runners scored and he also gave up 2 ER in 1.2
Beavs swept 7 clubs of 10 series in league. Unfreakin believable
Whatever happened to Tommy Paul? Or Scotland Church? Maybe vs Abilene
Casey is one hell of a evaluator of talent. I mean Rutschman isn't a stretch to see he is athletic. But PC said Rutsch would hit from the first week. Even stuck him in the 4 hole IIRC. After the first few series he may not have been hitting but he was in the middle of scoring plays. Was it Az his walk off walk where Jones scored from 2nd base on a WP/PB? Now his bat is coming around.
Kyle Nobach would be a nice piece to fit in somewhere....sigh

Regarding Grant.... It hit me on Sunday that he will be the next Jake Thompson. Struggle to find his control for 2 years and his spot on the team but it will come together for him. He throws hard.... velocity is hard to find and if he can gain control of that cannon he will be an effective pitcher in the future.
Don't give up on GG. Might not see significant or important innings the rest of this year but he belongs at this level.

If he can bring them up and be more consistent, he'll be a good one. |

The little I've seen of him I like. I think some days he has command of his pitches and some days he does not. At the high school level, when he didn't have command it was not as big of a deal. Many (most) high schoolers can't handle a 92 mph pitch with a little movement even if they know it's coming and it's in the middle of the strike zone. I believe it's much more likely than not that his control will improve.

Grant's best outings have been multiple inning ones. Has to push through like Jake did. Absolutely filthy stuff. |

She probably waited for his ba to rise. Pretty embarrassing that it took more than half his OSU career for anyone associated with the program to get his name right. Sheesh. Mom has been at most games during his OSU career so a bit of a headscratcher why the pronunciation was just now corrected. Glad it's been cleared up.
