Sounds a lot like big Jim Wilson and talks a lot like him too. He's helping to make a game I could really care less about enjoyable to watch.

It's my opinion though that the Pac-12 could save quite a few bucks by eliminating the "Color" guy on all games. If it's special info of interest on a particular player, fine. A good play by play guy should be able to do that. But, most of these "Color" guys have a strong need to talk about their past experiences when they played or they try to explain what just happened when you just watched it happening. For me, I would prefer they spend a few more bucks on things like showing the pitch speed on every pitch or having a few more replays on close call type of plays. Or, simply showing a few more shots of the home teams campus or Ball Park. I have no idea what they pay these announcers but most of them have very little talent. When they hire these guys they should make it mandatory that they spend a specified amount of hours listening to good play be play guys. I have no interest in knowing that the man at the plate has a stance just like someone they played with 10 years ago. Most games, I just live with the TV delay and listen to Mr. Parker. Or, maybe it's just me being overly grumpy.
