Good find 2ndGenBeaver - -Three points in this brief information packet jump out at me.
First, Horvat, who is a top flight recruit, didn't take her free visit to any campus. I don't think that happens very often.
Second, of Horvat's 4 collegiate choices one was the Beavs. That tells me that the staff had inroads, in one form or another, to the Aussie team before they landed Simmons - which make the Simmons Verbal more understandable.
Third, The Aussie National WBB program produces a lot of talent and a good share of it lands in the PAC-12. Stanford has a really good one (memory lapse!) who will be All Pac-12 next year....She hurt the Beavs bad in the Championship game...
Now, see what you can learn about Erin Boley being a Bear !! 😄
Must be referring to 6'3" Aussie Alanna Smith. Smith came off the Stanford bench to provide some much-needed scoring in a very low-scoring PAC-12 championship game against the Beavs in March.
Sources in the know have confirmed that Jazz Simmons was on campus this year to take an official visit in Corvallis. She knows what Corvallis is like in the spring.
