Failed Losing Oregon Pitcher of the week. Guy has some serious issues in terms of attitude and big game mentality. Our guys look and play more confidently, just going about their business and playing the game the way it should be played. No sophomoric 'throw the O' shenanigans. Their guys choked on several bunt opportunities, I thought that was all Horton taught them. Yeah, we did not play our best - but we still outplayed them in every facet of the game. I did not see ONE Oregon player that I would rather have on our side . Nice going Casey and Staff.. you guys are doing it the right way and it is fun for fans to watch. Go Beavers !

In front of all of those scouts he certainly did not look like a 1st or 2nd round draft choice, either in terms of stuff or temperament.

Peterson should get Heimlich to help him, because he was also the C.H.O.K.E. of the week.

Peterson was exposed after that good first inning. I hadn't seen him throw before, but even his stuff wasn't overwhelming like i expected for his high KO numbers. Every pitcher can have a bad night but when you don't have your stuff is when you show your big league mettle. What i saw from him was brittle composure and a lack of podge when he absorbed some blows. He needs to watch our big dogs to see what "game" looks like.

Both staffs had to deal with a rather ridiculous strike zone; Peterson couldn't cope with it. Have to admit it, but the uck relievers did a lot better. Drew just threw right through it

Agreed. Seems like, in the first inning, the suck was getting some wild swings from the Beavers on balls that had quite a bit of downward movement. Once the Beavers became more selective and they started looking for an ineffective fastball, he became a VERY AVERAGE THROWER. He does not seem to have big league stuff or major league character, I know this is looked at as personal bias, however, he walked 4 in his limited work and his total all year( prior ), had been 4. A Major League hitter will make him pay for his lack of pitching tools. That is a very average fastball and a curve with some drop action. He needs a pitching coach that can develop a couple of more options AND a guy that can coach him about how to comport himself on the mound. He behaved like a little leaguer with both his mouth and his body language. Compare that with Heimlich, Rasmussen, Thompson, Eisert, Et al - No Comparison. Yeskie is really showing his A game this year.
