Who gets left out? I have a 10 team list, coincidentally, all SEC, ACC, Big 12. Pick your three that are out.
UNC Louisville UVA Clemson LSU Mississippi State Florida Kentucky TCU Texas Tech

Just straight RPI
Miss State is 19. Unless they have a monster SEC conference tournament they are out. Az & Stanford are 16 & 11
UVA first out. Lost to a 200+ RPI team. That dinged em
LSU @ 12 seems out. Probably will depend on who does well (wins) in the SEC tourny
Question is even if we win out will our RPI drop us out of the top spot? Playing WSU 110, Portland 277 & Abilene 266
*all RPI from D1 baseball. Have not cross checked Warren Nolan

I think 4 get left out because I think if Stanford wins their series out they will get a national seed too. So, then I'm taking Clemson, Miss State, LSU and Kentucky as all not getting a National Seed right now. Also, for the question above, Warren Nolan does a predictive RPI and has us predicted #1. We have a sizable lead on UNC and they'll schedule is pretty RPI soft - although they'll get a boost from ACC tourney but we'll hold for sure if we win out....if we lost a game or two, especially to ACU then might fall. Here's the predictive RPI (as well as records) -> warrennolan.com/baseball/2017/predictedrpi

Loses of LSU vs Miss St. Clemson. Wasnt able to win a single game vs UNC or UL

Virginia, LSU and Mississippi State are projected to be out. Stanford would need to go 7-1 in the remainder of the season to land in the final top eight RPI standings bumping Clemson down.
All the math and projections aside, the committee has a history of reaching past a couple top eight teams going as low as 15 in the final RPI standing for a couple of teams outside of what is generally projected, so those teams who finish 5-8 are no lock for a national seed. WSU has been hot of late, losing this weekends series to them would give the committee an opportunity to get us again in a different kind of way. Finish Beavs!

The WSU series would seem to have trap written all over it. They are playing very well at the moment and we just came off a very emotional sweep of ts (they don't deserve the full acronym). I would not be surprised if we drop at least one to them; possibly two if they can get to us on Friday. It is, however, our final P12 series and this team obviously has it's eye on the prize, so a sweep (by us) would not surprise me in the least either.
Go Beavs, finish strong!

Guess that pretty much covers every outcome except them sweeping! Lol Not really a trap in my thinking, nor PC's I'm guessing. There is plenty of motivation as the series in Pullman was one of the key ingredients for swoon and our snub last season. It was an actually embarrassing watching those last 2 games after dominating Thursday's game 12-4. Plus we've won 11 straight(?) Pac 12 series... and WSU is 6-16 away from home. Anything less than a series win would be hugely disappointing. No excuses taken at this point in this season... your mindset is to be building to a crescendo and we've got plenty of room for improvements.

Guess that pretty much covers every outcome except them sweeping! Lol Oddly enough I added that last sentence so I wouldn't be accused of being overly negative and a baeba1111 surrogate! See where that got me...? Ha-ha!
The two most likely outcomes are a Beaver sweep and a single Beaver loss. Which has the higher probability? In any given P12 series you probably don't bet on the sweep but as we all know this team is special. You also bring up a good point about the Cougs away record, not stellar. Still, I'm not going to be surprised if the Cougs take one.

I hope UK beats Florida (as Cody reminds us all of the Stetson game) Clemson can't beat anyone that is good. We shall see. I hope the opposite side of our bracket brings someone West from the East coast for us to play in the Super-Regional.(assuming we make it that far...and I do think we will)
