2 innings, 2 hits,1 run, 4 K's, one of them a ex- OSU shortstop who now plays for the blue jays.

Did anyone see where the catcher called time and started walking to the mound but Sam almost delivered to the plate? Kind of funny.
I forgot how big that kid is.... he looks like the real deal. Very happy for him. The number of ex beavs playing in the MLB just continues to grow. I'm happy some of the pitchers are making it to the show.

What was the Pitch Clock thing Mike Parker was talking about on the radio (for Sam)?

Referred to him being in a game and had a 3 ball count going and the home plate umpire thought he was pitching too slow ( violating a 20 second clock) so he automatically awarded ball 4 and sent the runner to first. Lost track of the rest of the story but it tied into Sam's disdain for walking batters. Someone else will have to fill in the rest that I also didn't catch ( was it in the minors/ did he freak out on the mound/etc.)

His pitch clock story was from AAA.... it didn't happen last night.
but yes.... that was the story. I'm guessing he was waiting on the catcher or a sign from the dug out, thus the frustration. Sam wouldn't be going so slow to burn the pitch clock with a 3 ball count.
Just my guess based on the few facts we have...
Hope he sticks with the big club.
