I had the chance to witness a few of our Women's track athletes on Friday.
High Jumpers Allison Jackson and Rachel Proteau finished 1st and 2nd.
Watched super Frosh Mikayla Pivec throw the javelin.
I didn't get to see any other athletes compete, but did get to chat with most of the team that was there and the coaches as they were gathering to leave and head to Corvallis. Quite a nice group of ladies and the coaches were friendly and outgoing as well. It was a good warm up at Hayward before the PAC-12's this weekend. For those of you going to the baseball games, think about taking in some track and field action as well. If you don't have plans, I would encourage you to go and support some very well spoken and competitive women athletes.
