I've wanted to ask this question for years, but I wasn't plugged into Pure Orange and have forgotten until just now, but does anyone know the story of the guy who used to yell "ARRRRRRR BEE EYE TIME!" when the Beavs had runners in scoring position? This was probably 15-20 years ago that I remember him being around last. Where'd he come from, and what was the genesis of his catch phrase? What happened to him? Maybe he's still around, and the fact that there's more than 150 people in the stands now makes it harder to hear him?

Is that the Kentucky Fried Beaver? AKA, "Git R Did" guy too? If so, he's still around pretty much every game, pacing the concourse cheering on his Beavs

I believe his name is Jerry Holdgrafer and he worked for the Forest Service. My kids went to Inavale Grade school with his son, Joey. I'm not sure if he's still around or not. May be in Portland. MB.

He's been around closer than 15 years ago but I don't remember hearing him for the past 5 years or so.

There's an older fella who goes to Corvallis Knights games that is well known for saying that phrase pretty much every time a runner is in scoring position. Sits it season ticket area behind home plate. I don't recall him at Beaver games but I've only been going regularly since around 2004.

I'm pretty sure he is the same guy that I used to hear at Beaver games. He would draw out the "R"s in the "RBI"s (like a Pirate ). Maybe he got priced out of the market when the price for Beaver season tickets made a big jump a number of years ago.

John Titman. He sits with us frequently at the Knights games. When he is not there we are forced to do a poor imitation of "Rrrrrr B I Time!"
