the scouts that were at the game tonight were told that Drew would start tomorrow and be on a 50 pitch limit, not sure if tonight's appearance will change those plans. if he really is clear for 50 pitches it would be hard to believe they would trade that for a 10 pitch outing tonight. beavers will need him to be in the rotation by regional time if they expect to get to Omaha and do more than barbeque

Not likely. It was a really amazing greeting that fellow Beave fans gave him when he came in the game tonight. And, after he took care of business. BTW, I am told that ED made it onto TV with one of his signs tonight. Edit. Should be made it onto the live stream not tv.

D-1 Baseball had a report Razz was 94 to 98 last night. Serious Heat. He looks like he has lost a little wgt. WOW if he comes back next year. ( I doubt it )

Drew shouldn't start
Today in front of Fehmel had he not thrown Friday night, sure.

Can't start in front of an 8-0 ERA about 1 Sunday guy. So it would be a shocker if he started. On the other hand, he might be ready to step up as an early long reliever for Fehmel next Saturday, and possible by late May as a Saturday starter...can't ignore 95-98 mph, especially when he's one of the team captains, and in his final season as a Beaver.

Made the sign just before I left to drive up from Eugene. He looked great out there. Hoping we may see more of him today, with a nice big lead when he comes in. |
