I went to Jose. And, I went to Jose before Nate went to the pen, but he went to the pen more than I went to Jose although I was a couple ahead of him for a while.

Some of those calls to the pen in the 9th were a real head scratcher for me. Why not keep Mullholland in? Oh well,it worked.

I agree with Dave, sometimes Yeske drives me crazy with his love of matching up. I agree left on left can be tough on hitter depending on who the pitcher is, but R on R is what most of the right handed hitters see their whole lives. We have an abundance of REALLY GOOD lefties so it's a little different facing the BEAVS. Mullholland had just struck out the kid that homered off him Friday, and we only needed one more out. ?? How many moves later to go with the other freshman lefty? OH well. But I am getting to old for those moments. Was a big fan of Stanford for 3 days, but I'm over it now.

All I can say is that going the traditional Sunday routine of Johnny Allstaff in the flipping bottom of the 9th inning has to come with free alcohol and/or tranquilizers for the fans. I am sure the Joe Beaver Show is going to be full of fun talking about that inning. But at least we can have fun with it because it worked! (barely.....)

Look at the upside, more of our younger relief pitchers got more experience on the road in a tight situation... building for Omaha baby...
Other than winning that is my only upside.
On a personal note, we left my daughters VB tournament in the 8th inning and about 45 min later Parker called the final strike/out... kept me focused for my drive home after a long day of VB.
Go BEAVS!

I say it turned around after the drone delay. Second time this season an odd delay came at the right time. First was the hail delay against Utah. With all the home games remaining, I'm sure we can create some odd ball delays should the Beavs be in trouble.
Does the school still have that chicken from 10 years ago that Tyler Graham chased around in left field?
