Bummer. Up 5-0 and lose. Funny game in that they would not have beat us without our mistakes and yet they hit the ball more squarely than us all day and out hit us like 12-9. Probably more AB's though. Not sure about that.

also Stanford's first conference win in 2 years. I hate when we are the stat in these situations.

Should Not lose a game to Stanford. I saw them play in Cathedral City Tournament in February. Was Not impressed with poor Fundamentals. Short Stop had an Error in each Game. Saw a Bunt thrown into Right field because No one covered the Base. Perfect throw to no one allowing 2 runners to score. I really think we need to be a lot better and care more. Arizona is the Team playing the Best right now. Hope we can compete the rest of the way,but Yesterday was not good.

I was at the game and after Alysha Everett hit a two run homer to put us up 5-0 Stanford brought in a pitcher who pitched the rest of the way. That would have been 6 and a 3rd or two 3rd's innings and gave up one run which I think might have been unearned. She reminded me of a Jamie Moyer type. Not much velocity and spun the ball a lot. We didn't square up her pitches but a couple times. Our hitters were reaching and taking a lot of first pitch strikes. Very frustrating as a fan to watch us lose to an inferior team. That loss hurts us because that means, according to me, we need to get 3 wins out of 10 games left to have a shot at post season. 6 of those are against O and Utah which we may not win any of them so we'd have to beat PSU and take two from Cal. Hope we can do it.

Let's hope the motivational energy of being the first win for a Pac-12 school in a few years after being up on them 5-0 gives the Beavers a boost in the 10 games left.... Sigh.
Go Beavs!

also Stanford's first conference win in 2 years. I hate when we are the stat in these situations. I believe Stanford had lost 41 consecutive conference games prior to their breakthrough at OSU.
