Flush yesterday. Come out with focus and play with passion.

Time to get aggressive at the Plate. With runners on base, Hit the Friggin Ball somewhere! Hit it an Inch, foot, 500 Ft straight up. Do something other than TAKE a third strike. There I fixed everything! LOL

In all fairness, the strike zone yesterday was both inconsistent and at times just plain unfair. Not sure if it was incompetence or home cooking, but we just move on.

It's been a very blah series so far! I mean even the fan base that is attending is very "wait and see" sit on their hands quiet.
There are a good number of OSU fans here, but not the typical energy buzzing. And the team is playing much the same way. I believe it's more circumstances than anything...
-two straight road series in very different "atmospheres"
-emotionally charged series let down
-seems to be a lot of SoCal family and friend "distractions"
-there is always that midseason kind of lull. We're young, and no matter if you've been thru it once, it's a lot longer season than HS coupled with the travel.
I'm not sure what to expect this afternoon. We made a very average Pac12 pitcher look All Conference last night. We've looked completely overmatched at the plate... struck out 24 times so far this series. But, I do know it'll take more than Jake pitching well. We need to show up like a #1 team at the plate!
I still think we've won the Pac12... but, today is important. A win removes all doubt. A win puts OSU 6 up with 12 to play. A loss only 4 over UCLA who would have the series win. That's a BIG difference.

I'm very interested to see the lineup today. Who does Casey think gives his team the best chance to win? Where can OS find a hot bat? And can the guys you expect to perform lock back onto pitches?

Malone by battling in the 9th yesterday gets the DH rol. That "should" be a murders row at 7-8-9. Those guys have physical tools to hit 1-2-3 in lineup. But offense has been tough this season for the Beavs.

So many holes... .235 (Malone never got the barrel on top last night's AB or his 1st today) / .211 in 3rd and 5th spots already cost us. Addley is no way shape or form a 5-hole hitter. Basically swung at 1st pitch ball 1 to cost us a 4 pitch walk then takes two right down the kack without even a flinch with maybe our hottest hitter on deck in Gretler.
Donahue with huge K factor and Cary might be the biggest offensive disappointment this year.

He had that collision with fence early season and hasn't looked as loose at plate since

Sounds like the Beavs are starting to swing more, and Adley got a double. However not all swings results in hits, and a first pitch swing can result in a one pitch out. So much for swinging at the first pitch.
Nothing after 3.5
