Perhaps another option for some midweek games.

That is sad to hear.

It really is...unlike the ducks, Boise had a really good wrestling program, too. (At least it has been pretty stalwart for several years in the recent past - not sure how good they were this year) On the positive side, maybe some current members will transfer to OSU, and other kids that would narrow it between us and Boise will simply come here.

Perhaps another option for some midweek games. As a former high school wrestler... I hate this. Stupid baseball. (ducks and runs away!)

That is too bad. Wrestling is a great sport, and too many colleges have dropped it

I am hoping they will have a blue field, and I am completely serious.

If it's a university owned stadium, count on it. This move in their own words is about their "brand" and the biggest part of that "brand" is blue artificial grass.
On the other hand, if it's a city stadium on city land with BSU Baseball is just a tenant and MLB affiliated MiLB playing in the summer, it's more likely to be green.

I think the NCAA has banned blue turf (and yellow baseballs) - the football field color has been grandfathered in, like Eastern Washington's red field. Fuskies had to change their purple warning track to brown in their remodled stadium.

I am hoping they will have a blue field, and I am completely serious. THAT would be egregious to baseball fans throughout the world.

That is too bad. Wrestling is a great sport, and too many colleges have dropped it and this potentially hoses our own wrestling program as we're down to 5 schools (3 Pac-12 schools, 2 affiliates). I'm a big baseball fan, but I hate seeing wrestling programs get dropped. I've said it before on the wrestling board - there just aren't a lot of options for those NW kids looking to continue their careers. Maybe if we win a wrestling National Championship, TSDTR will add wrestling? That's sort of their thing. Anyhow.. wrong board-ish, I know.

Brooks Hatch just reported on The Joe Beaver Show that Boise State's move to baseball, and the cancellation of wrestling, has been put on hold since the students didn't get consulted.
Student fees contribute a lot to athletics, but he also reported that the AD wants baseball so they'll end up with it. We shall see I guess.

That may also be why the Donks are looking at baseball; wrestling is big there, but not so big in general, while baseball is a growing sport. As a truck driver training school, they don't have the financially endowed program Oregon State does, so once the students forget about the controversy when they have to pass their backing into the loading dock test , baseball will probably slide in.
