There is hope that ace right-hander Drew Rasmussen, on the mend from Tommy John elbow surgery in March 2016, will soon make his 2017 debut. Reports are that the redshirt sophomore touched 95 miles per hour on the radar gun in a throwing session this week.
"Drew's health is good," Yeskie said. "He goes in for another checkup soon. He said he feels good. he wants to pitch — those are his words, not mine. And when the time comes, the doctors will green-light him."
