Tuned in to MP's pregame on Saturday mid show and he was talking about Casey and Utah's manager having some type of pow wow regarding Friday's game. Missed what this was about. Was there an incident Friday night, or game long shennanigans going on?
Anyone know what that was all about?

There was discussion on this on another thread but I can't seem to find it. It had to do with their 3rd base coach stealing our signs by leaning over the foul line and being way, way out of the coaching box.

There was more to this.... Coach Jay - 3b coach for the Utes was way out of line in my opinion. He and Casey were going at it long enough the entire stadium was trying to listen in. The umps stopped play, visited with Casey, visited together visited with Utah and back at it we went.
I sit on the 3b side, so we were front row. The yelling match between Coach Jay and Casey was intense. But what was worse is after Luke struck out the Ute batter to end the inning, as Luke was running off the field he was pumped up and said someting to the 3b coach (I didn't comprehend it exactly) but the coach yelled back at Luke several times to get into his dug out.
Anyway, both 3b coaches were banned to the coaching box when runners were on base. I'm not sure why then and not all of the time. It was a fun 3 days of flicking Coach Jay his paybacks. He also liked taking notes on his folded piece of paper in his pocket.....
Bottom line is Coach Jay showed Casey and our players ZERO respect. Just like summer.... NO CLASS!

I have never heard of or had any dealings with any if the Utah coaches before this weekend, but outside and inside the stadium they were the poster child of a program that has no clue how to win. They backed into a Pac12 title in an extremely weird season with a losing overall record. Instead of being gracious and building off that they acted as if they are permanent post season fixtures.
There are teams that are "winners" by actions and success. Utah is not one of them and in this league their staff will be gone before they fall into another Pac12 title.
I'll also say my impression of their staff was not great. Coach Jay is what we used to call "rabbit ears"... hears and reacts to everything! Seems to be the immature type who was frustrated by his own career. Being a "one hit wonder" will be his lifetime achievement! 😊
