I think we all want a trip to Omaha, but will you look back on this season fondly if they win the Pac-12 and get a national seed?

Going to Omaha is a realistic goal...no question. Winning it ALL is also realistic, but SO MANY things have to come together at the perfect time...'06 and '07 were PERFECT! THis winning streak, and our NO. 1 ranking are very special. Sweeping meggs and the friggin' fuskies and whoreton and the friggin' ucks and winning the PAC outright......AND hosting a SUPER....? I'll take that! Omaha=icing on a great cake!

Omaha is calling, no doubt. I have my room reservation made. In my ideal baseball world, the O State ballers are in the title series in late June. I think we all want another piece of hardware for the trophy case, and I want to hear Parker flip out when the last out is made and the dogpile is full of Beavers. Time will tell, time will tell.

I'm just enjoying one game at a time. This season has been a great ride and certainly won't be a failure of we don't bring it all home.

Things have to really fall in place for any given team to win the whole thing, but at least getting to Omaha is a must after this start to the season. As I said in another post... the "modern era" (whenever you want to set a date) is much better baseball deeper into the number of teams that can toss out exceptional arms/players. At times I am more worried about the "1 game at a time" Regional versus the 2 of 3 Super where depth of your team is more of a factor. I don't care about the regular season "record"... win the Pac12... host a Regional and Super... get to Omaha... the rest is gravy.

I'm not counting on Omaha. I'd like it, but baseball is a streaky game. I'd rather be 28-1 starting in 2 weeks than be 28-1 now. This is a very good team, but baseball happens, like us in 2007 and Fresno state in 2008. Arizona in there last title was a streaky team as well.
