Yeah, the ACC and SEC get all the love. Used to it. Never change. My question is how high would Stanford and Arizona be ranked if they hadn't been stuck with opening the conference by having to play the top team in the country. Followup question, would the Beavs be top ranked if they didn't have the sweeps against Tree and the Cats; they just came against, say UCLA and WSU.

IMHO if Stanford and Arizona did not play us early and won those series with a minimum of 2-1 record they would be at least 3-5 ranked positions higher. I fully believe that the Beavers would be ranked No. 1 with the same record against different PAC-12 opponents. The record is still incredible whether they beat ranked opponents or not. This team is definitely special. Last night is just another example of how special they are at their approach to the each and every game.
But like I mentioned a couple of weeks ago in another thread... I only care about being ranked No. 1 at the end of June. Go Beavs!

Last I looked, our RPI was still #1. Pretty hard to not put the #1 RPI team as #1 overall. The fact that they got all 30 coaches 1st place votes this week shows that others think they deserve their ranking too. How much of that is respect for beating top ranked teams? A lot, but I think we still would be #1 regardless of who we played in conference. Going 27-1 does that for you.
