What a weekend of baseball. Two excellent pitching performances by the Beavers staff, and the Saturday game with 36 hits by the teams combined. I had never seen a college game quite like that.
We have now swept the 10th and 14th ranked teams on consecutive weekends.

Good for you! I'm a little jealous. This weekend promises to be a lesser ranked opponent and a MUCH colder and wetter climate. Tomorrow on the The Bluff looks to be a steller day to play ball though.

It was so hot that we spent most of Saturday and Sunday under the trees. At one point we went over and sat with the Stanford side of the park. I'm not sure they appreciated all the Beaver fans though......LOL.

After the third or so, 3rd base side of the press box standing on the stairs was in the shade and you could see "nervous Mike" up and down, left and right, constantly flipping thru papers. |
