Looks like we could be going through the diamond dust as the players play in wet cold weather. From the latest National Weather Service Forecast.
.LONG TERM...(Wednesday night through Sunday)...Pattern shift coming
bringing back a wet and cooler than normal pattern through next
weekend. Broad upper-level trough settling down over the Gulf of
Alaska and into the Pacific Northwest, bringing cooler and rainy
conditions more on than off Wednesday night through next weekend.
Models diverge on the details, track, and timing of these systems as
they move in, so not going to dig into the details of each system in
this discussion. Snow levels come down Friday night into Saturday to
around 2500 to 3500 feet, hovering around this level through Sunday.
None of these systems look exceptionally wet, but a prolonged period
of rain could bring rivers back up a bit by next weekend. Expect
snowy travel through the Cascades next weekend as well. -
